Apex Acoustics carries out Building Regulations compliant Air Leakage testing, with BINDT accreditation. We can either arrange air leakage and sound insulation testing on a single site visit, or on separate visits to suit your programme of works. By liaising closely with site management we ensure that testing is conducted with the minimum of disruption. In addition to the actual testing, our service includes temporary sealing of ventilation. In the event of a test failure, we conduct a thorough inspection of the dwelling, using smoke testing techniques if required to locate the air leakage sites. Immediate rectification by sealing holes is normally adequate to allow a re-test on the same site visit, without incurring further cost or delays.
